I wrote this poem in response to the Wea’ve Written Weekly prompt on Skeptics Kaddish. This week’s prompt poem is “Letting Go” by Kerfe Roig. This is fabulous! And I got my current events lesson, too. I don’t read the newspapers and watch as little news as possible; it’s all depressing BS anyway. I stay informed by the internet and my husband who watches quite a bit of news and tells me all I need to know over dinner. That’s good enough for me. I like this – The Poetic Cliff Notes of News. 🗞 📰

I stole it all from news headlines. I didn’t actually read any of the articles. lol 😀

Wow, brilliant! So poignant indeed. I didn’t read your poem before writing mine, or I might have considered not writing mine the way I did.

The million dollar question at the end. I didn’t know about the cheese. Well-done. A headline-grabbing poem.
