I am Looking for Scary Folklore to Write into Halloween Poetry

I have written my last three poems about Baba Yaga, El Cucuy, and Raw Head and Bloody Bones. But I am having trouble finding scary folk stories on Wikipedia that have enough historical background to make a poem layered with both vivid imagery and historical influence.

You can help me in one of two ways:

1. Tell me about your favorite scary folktale.

Or

2. Send me a link to any websites you may know of that have in depth discussions about folklore.

I will try to write a poem for each suggestion that I receive until the end of October.
