October Poem 17

Pliny drew the sheers across his face.

His eye watered the dew point

With the chorus of time and

A trimming lined up along her closet garden.

He literally cut his eyes at the rose petals

Which were an extension of his stare.

Palette spray spattered the wall

The cobalt blue and the floor puddled

The roses of cadmium yellow.
